Geronimo Stilton follows a mouse named, you guessed it, Geronimo Stilton, in a massive series in so many books I've lost count. They are all hilarious and great for all ages whether you are being read to or reading them yourself.
Whilst Geronimo Stilton is usually a somewhat unwilling participant on these adventures, they are hilarious for us. Unfortunately, for Geronimo, he is a bit of "a fraidy mouse", getting scared at the smallest things. These adventures take Geronimo to some unlikely places, such as Mouldy Manor, a secret laboratory, and the Wild West. On some adventures he travels through time or even into space.
The text of these books is fun and animated, with some words highlighted in different, fun fonts and colours. There are also some great illustrations on most pages to help keep you entertained as you read. This helps make these books a great first chapter book to tackle as a new reader.
My favourite Geronimo Stilton book is "Get into Gear Stilton" in which Geronimo is unwittingly discovers an amazing robotic car called Sol, and retrieves a stolen diamond necklace from a thief.
Geronimo Stilton is a great series with over 55 books and there are additional series called The Kingdom of Fantasy, Geronimo Stiltonoot, Creepella Von Cacklefur, Spacemice, and a series about Geronimo's Sister, Thea Sisters.
