For those who like Japanese mythology, ancient Japan or just a magic book this is the one for you. It is a book about a kitsune (yokai) girl who's temple is attacked by demons. She encounters an assassin of the Shadow Clan and they travel to the capital together in a dangerous journey seeking the same thing.
I would give this book to an 11-16-year-old because there are some graphic descriptions and the tiniest smidge of mature themes. There is also pretty much one swear word so I am not really going to let it influence the age rating too much. It is a great book but I would still stick with the age rating.
All in all, this is a great book and you should definitely get it.
