The House with a Clock in its Walls is a great book to read if you want to watch the movie or have watched it already. It is about a boy named Lewis who is sent to live with his uncle. It is a story about magic and danger. So if you are a reader who likes magic, adventure and danger this is for you.
I would give this book to 9 or 10-year-olds because there are some slightly freaky bits that may scare younger kids (such as my younger siblings and so I haven't been able to watch the movie yet much to my disappointment). There is some content that refers to calling Lewis fat which is not very nice. I would encourage any reader not to follow this behaviour because of how it makes others feel. It is mean. Choose kind.
All in all, this is a great book for fans of the movie or those who want to watch the movie.
